Nebraska football continues to receive good news. The team learned that they have moved up in the rankings according to the latest edition of the US LBM Coaches Poll.

The Huskers moved from No. 24 to No. 22 in the week three poll. This is Nebraska‘s highest ranking since late November 2016, when they were No. 16.

Nebraska is now preparing for its Big Ten opener against Illinois. After being the first school out last week, there had been expectations that the Fighting Illini would move into the Top 25.

That expectation did not come to fruition, as Illinois remains the first team out of the Top 25. Kickoff on Friday is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT, and the game will be broadcast on Fox.
