Need a job? Dallas job fair will seek to fill nearly 4,000 positions

Nearly 4,000 jobs will be available this week at a Dallas job fair.

Roughly 80 employers will be on hand for the annual “You’re Hired Job Fest,” hosted by Dallas County Judge Clay Lewis Jenkins and Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas. The fair is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Gilley’s Dallas, 1135 Botham Jean Blvd. Free parking will be available.

Job seekers can explore positions in logistics, education, health care, transportation, manufacturing, business and hospitality, among others. Employers include UPS, FedEx, Dallas County, and the cities of Dallas and Irving.

The average pay of available jobs is $21 an hour, with some offering up to $50 an hour, according to a news release from Dallas County. Many employers have an immediate need for employees due to industry demands and the upcoming holidays.
