Netflix launches new feature to share clips from its shows
Netflix launched a new feature Monday that allows users to save and share scenes from TV shows and movies.
Called “Moments,” the feature is activated with the click of a button on a mobile device, allowing small segments of its programs to be rewatched or shared on social media.
The excerpts users save to their My Netflix tab can be shared on whichever social media platforms they select.
The streaming giant said Moments’ rollout is launching as part of a new brand campaign called “It’s So Good,” which highlights memorable scenes from some of the streamer’s most popular shows, including the historical romance “Bridgerton.”
Globally available with devices that use iOS, the feature will expand to Android in a few weeks. Netflix said the Moments could be expanded further in the future.
Netflix is the largest streaming service in the world, with almost 283 million paid subscribers globally.
