New business: Free Play Arcade now open in Abilene
Locals are free to embrace their fun side in downtown’s newest business addition to the Cypress Street strip.
Free Play Abilene located at 250 Cypress St. — previously occupied by The Local — offers a variety of arcade games and menu options.
Free Play Arcade, established in 2015, is a Dallas-Fort Worth-based business expanding to its first location outside the metroplex with the opening of the Abilene location.
With the payment of a $12.49 admission at the door, guests have unlimited play on every game, which includes a mix of rare and classic arcade games, pinball, Skee-Ball and modern indie arcade-style games.
The arcade is open to Abilenians of all ages, but guests under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Free Play Abilene is open every day with special adult-only hours specified by the day:
- Sunday 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
- Monday-Thursday 3 p.m.-11 p.m.
- Friday 3 p.m.-2 a.m.
