CHEYENNE, Wyo. — A new business park is now officially part of the city’s Unified Development Code.

The Cheyenne City Council passed an ordinance Monday night establishing a Business Park Zone District. The district will allow for a variety of civic, service, commercial and industrial uses.

The purpose of the new district is to “provide flexibility for and encourage a variety of uses in large-scale business parks, and to update various locations where zones are referenced to include newly created zone districts,” per the ordinance. Data centers, community athletic fields, stadiums, entertainment facilities, retail stores and medical centers are just some of the facilities permitted to operate inside the new district.

Councilmembers initially held a work session in August to discuss the logistics of creating the zone district. The resolution went to the council for a second reading Sept. 23, then the city’s Public Services Committee reviewed the amendments at its meeting Oct. 8.

A copy of the resolution can be viewed below.
