New Entertainment Experience Coming To Downtown Doylestown

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Are you ready to have some fun? A new entertainment experience is coming to downtown Doylestown Borough.

Will Wister, the Doylestown native behind Main Swing Golf, a state-of-the-art three-bay indoor golf venue that opened in the heart of town last December, will be rebranding his second floor Main Street Marketplace business and opening up Main Street Sport & Social in early to mid November.

Wister has taken over much of the second floor of the Main Street Marketplace and is expanding to the third floor, doubling the size of his Main Swing space and creating a brand new one-stop-shop for entertainment.

“Doylestown has great restaurants and outdoor spaces, but there’s never really been, except for the Escape Room, something for individuals, families and friends to participate in and have some fun doing,” he said. “This will bring that kind of experience to downtown Doylestown.”

Wister will be keeping his 3,000-square-foot Main Swing Golf Lounge, but enhancing the experience with the addition of another 3,000-square-feet of active entertainment space that will include a Duckpin Bowling and a nine hole tech-infused miniature golf course.

Wister is in the process now of transforming the former offices of Brick Simple into the new venue, which Wister hopes will become a destination for fun in his hometown.

When the renovations are complete, Main Street Golf will open up into a new space featuring a lounge area and four lanes of Duckpin Bowling, which uses smaller pins and smaller alleys. Wister likens it to a cross between Skee-Ball and bowling.

The new venue extends to the third floor which will be home to another lounge area, a full service bar and a nine hole tech-infused miniature golf course with all the latest bells and whistles.

The bar will be operated by Bensalem-based 1675 Spirits, which will be serving a curated collection of the finest local Pennsylvania beers, wines and spirits.

Wister said while the venue won’t be selling food, Main Street Sport will be partnering with Marketplace eateries and restaurants to provide food options for its patrons.

“This will be a one-stop entertainment shop,” said Wister. “You no longer have to travel into the city to experience this type of entertainment. It will be all right here in Doylestown. We cannot wait to open our doors to the general public.”

Wister is hoping to open in November under the rebranded names – Main Street Sports & Social, Main Swing, Main Strike, Main Stroke and Main Sip.
