New entertainment venue coming to Peoria mall one step closer to liquor license
In Peoria, Tilted 10 is working to secure a liquor license for its coming location at Northwoods Mall. The Peoria Liquor Commission voted to recommend approval for the business’s site application on Sept. 3.
Kevin Jordan, Senior Vice President of Operations for Nickels and Dimes Incorporated, told commissioners the goal is to open Tilted 10 the first week of October. Expected hours of operation, he said, are from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. until midnight Friday and Saturday.
During discussion, commissioner Scott Jordan noted the former tenant, Round1, experienced various fights. Given the location’s history, he asked how Tilted 10 planned to address security.
Kevin Jordan explained the establishment would not remain open until 2 a.m. He said he heard similar concerns ahead of opening a location in Louisville, Kentucky, but said the establishment has not experienced any issues since opening.

Along with this, he said fighting games and other elements of Round1 would not be included at Tilted 10.
“We are 100% a family venue,” Kevin Jordan told commissioners. “You’ll see a big difference when you see our operation.”
Round1 closed in May 2023, and Kevin Jordan said, “We’re in the process of renovating and cleaning the place up.” He said the space will include bowling lanes, an amusement center, two mini golf courses and more.
Kevin Jordan said he expects food and liquor to only account for a small part of the business’s overall sales.
“I’m glad to see the space being used,” Scott Jordan said after moving to recommend approval.
The Northwoods Mall complex will be Tilted 10’s fourth location and its second in Illinois. Other Tilted 10 locations are in Rockford; Louisville, Kentucky; and Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.
