New Nostradamus stands by imminent World War III prediction

A man dubbed the “new Nostradamus” has been proved wrong about his prediction that World War III could begin on Tuesday of this week.

Kushal Kumar, an Indian astrologer who predicts global events using the Vedic astrology chart, had said that a global war might break out on June 18.

However, the fact that World War III has not yet begun might not be an immediate cause for relief, as he had another possible start date in mind that is yet to pass.

“Tuesday, 18 June 2024 has the strongest planetary stimulus to trigger WW3 although 10 and 29 June may have a say as well,” he said, according to U.K. tabloid the Daily Star.

He cited terror attacks in Pakistan, escalation between Israel and Lebanon, tensions between North and South Korea and between China and Taiwan, as well as Russia and the U.S., as signs pointing toward his prediction being true.

“It may be observed here that predictive alert for better care and appropriate strategy involves careful and serious interpretation of planetary impacts while unintended human error or slip cannot be ruled out entirely,” he said. “So, watch the developing war scenario in hot spots across the globe as days pass by.”

Kumar first made the prediction in May and doubled down on it in the days ahead of the predicted June 18 date.

However, in a new post on Medium.com on Wednesday written by Kumar, he further explained his original prophecy. While his initial statement mentioned a planetary alignment suggesting a possible start date for war on June 18, Kumar distinguished between such an alignment and a guaranteed event.

“It may be noted that the predictive alert for Tuesday, 18 June 2024, unambiguously does mention planetary stimulus formation related to triggering of WW3 but that is essentially not the same as to predict or say that WW3 will start on Tuesday, 18 June 2024,” he wrote.

Newsweek tried to reach out to Kumar via email.

Kumar uses Vedic astrology, which originated in India thousands of years ago, to make predictions. It is based on the belief that celestial bodies and planets can influence people’s lives and offer insights into future events.

Kumar has been nicknamed the new Nostradamus, or the Indian Nostradamus, after the French astrologer who lived in the 1500s and was known for his prophecies and predictions about future events.

His 1555 book Les Propheties was his most famous collection of prophecies.

In recent years there have been many similar so-called seers who have claimed to also be able to predict the future.

One of the most famous examples is Baba Vanga, a blind mystic from the Balkans, who made many predictions about the future before she died in 1996.
