New Premier Sports Campus opening soon

MANATEE, Fla. (WWSB) – The Premier Sports Campus will now be called Premier Sports Campus North, and Premier Sports Campus South. The South campus will consist of outdoor fields, concessions, and event space, while the North campus will be home to the planned approximately 44,000-square-foot Athletics and Aquatics Center. Earlier this week, Commissioners approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price of the center which has a competition-sized swimming pool, therapy pool, locker area, restrooms, twenty-four pickleball courts, and walking trail.

The center will give residents on the east side of the county the opportunity to enjoy group fitness classes, similar to classes that have been enjoyed for several years by those on the west side at GT Bray Park.

Anticipated completion time is Summer 2026.
