EDINBURG, Texas – The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) and the City of Edinburg are pleased to announce the ongoing expansion of two new shopping plazas: Brentwood Plaza and Hyde Plaza. These vibrant destinations will introduce a variety of new stores, restaurants, and job opportunities to the community.

Brentwood Plaza, located at 1701 North McColl Road, offers 23,000 square feet of space. It is home to businesses such as Recovery Factory, Easy Cuts, and Shake Shack, with additional restaurants planned. The plaza will also feature electric vehicle charging stations, highlighting Edinburg’s commitment to sustainability.

This development represents a significant $5 million capital investment and will create 120 new jobs for local residents.

According to Mayor Ramiro Garza Jr., “Edinburg continues to advance with projects like Brentwood Plaza, which will become a vital hub for shopping, dining, and employment. These developments are integral to the broader vision for a dynamic and prosperous Edinburg.”

Hyde Plaza, situated at 4610 North McColl Road, spans 21,175 square feet and features popular establishments like Kargo Coffee, a pediatric clinic, Kumori Express, and Zamora’s Restaurant. Similar to Brentwood Plaza, Hyde Plaza will include electric charging stations. This development represents a $4 million investment and will generate 110 new jobs for local residents.

These new plazas will make shopping and dining in Edinburg more convenient and enjoyable, while also boosting the local economy. The EEDC and the City of Edinburg have worked diligently to bring these projects to fruition, demonstrating their commitment to enhancing the city’s growth and prosperity.

“With Hyde Plaza, Edinburg’s retail landscape is expanding, creating new jobs, and elevating the quality of life for the community,” EEDC Board President Veronica Gonzales said. “These projects exemplify the dedication to fostering economic development in Edinburg.”
