New ‘Top Secret Cinema’ offered at Consolidated Theatres

HONOLULU — Tickets are only $5 at any Consolidated Theatres location for films offered in its new signature program, Top Secret Cinema.

It’s intriguing, fun and a great value, and the catch is audiences won’t know what movie they’ll see until the film rolls on the big screen. The only “guide” to the film is its rating.

Top Secret Cinema launched on July 1 with the romantic comedy, “Fly Me to the Moon,” starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum. The movie showed to an enthusiastic audience.

Next up will be another new release revealed July 15 at 7 p.m.

“While our lips are sealed around these screenings, what we can disclose is that our program lineup will have something for everyone, from family fun to date nights, with big name films and arthouse gems that are sure to please,” said Consolidated Theatres Marketing and Events Manager Kyler Kokubun, in a release.

“Through our TOP SECRET CINEMA treats, we’re delighted to further our commitment to providing the best in entertainment for the community, together with a sense of playfulness and wonder for what’s to come,” she said.

Tickets for the July 15 Top Secret Cinema are now available at the Consolidated Theatres website or via the app.

Future movie selections will be offered on Monday evenings and audiences can stay in the loop on social media or by visiting the website where film ratings and roughly estimated runtimes for “enhanced security” will also be available.
