New Walmart shopping car to benefit children, adults with special needs

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Paragould Walmart Supercenter now offers Caroline’s Cart, a specialized grocery cart designed for children and adults with special needs.

This cart aims to ease the shopping experience for caregivers by eliminating the struggle of pushing a grocery cart while caring for their loved ones.

A Walmart employee mentioned that the adjustable straps and comfortable settings make it easier for riders.

“You can adjust the straps, to larger whatever size you need,” said Lee Partee a Walmart employee.

Additionally, the cart is equipped with a lock system for added safety.

“They’re a godsend for our store we’re hoping when the word gets out, it will be so busy with these that we will have to order more,” said Partee.

A Paragould resident expressed her excitement about this much-needed addition and emphasized the benefits it will bring to many people.

“I think this is great that we have it here in my hometown, they need them everywhere and lots and lots of people are going to benefit from it,” said Tracy Yandell, a Paragould resident.

Another Walmart employee also highlighted the importance of the added safety feature.

“That was good to add the lock system to it so there will not be any accidents or mistakes happening to keep them safe and keep them sturdy,” said Tommie Starnes.

Partee said she is looking forward to customer feedback on the carts and encouraged users to share their experience at the service desk.

“You come to the service desk and tell us how you like it,” said Partee.
