It’s (almost) time to say goodbye to 2024 and welcome in 2025.

And what better to ring out another extraordinary year than by following our coverage of events around the world as the clocks strike midnight.

It takes a full 26 hours for the entire globe to enter the new year – worry not, we’re in it for the long haul, snacks and varied caffeine sources in tow.

It all kicks of at 10:00 GMT on the Pacific island of Kiribati and ends on neighbouring Baker Island at 12:00 GMT on Wednesday – we’ll explain exactly why that is and how it works shortly.

To see us through until then we’ll have a few well-known BBC faces sharing their resolutions, as well as opportunities for you to get in touch and share your own.

Whatever you’re doing, we hope you have fun (and, of course, stay glued to our coverage for the entire 26 hours).

Stay tuned.
