New York schedule in 2024 Little League World Series: Bracket update for South Shore
The 2024 Little League World Series has officially arrived.
The action for the well-known worldwide baseball tournament gets underway from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday afternoon at Lamade Stadium and Volunteer Stadium.
The first game between international opponents Caribbean and Mexico at 1 p.m. ET will be preluded by the opening ceremonies at Volunteer Stadium.
What teams are playing in 2024 Little League World Series?
The 2024 LLWS features 20 teams: 10 U.S. regions and 10 international regions.
United States regions: Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Mountain Region, New England, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest and West representing the United States.
International regions: Asia-Pacific, Australia, Canada, Caribbean, Cuba, Europe-Africa, Japan, Latin America, Mexico and Puerto Rico for the international regions.
Does New York or New Jersey have a team in 2024 Little League World Series?
South Shore Little League from Staten Island, New York, will be representing the Metro Region after being crowned regional champions in a 5-0 victory over Morristown Little League (New Jersey), who had defeated them 11-1 ahead of the rematch in the regional final.

New York Little League World Series schedule
South Shore Little League begins its quest at the 2024 LLWS against Paseo Verde Little League of Nevada, who are representing the Mountain Region.
Date: Thursday, Aug. 15
Time: 3 p.m.
With a win over Nevada, South Shore Little League wouldn’t play again until Monday, Aug. 19 against the winner of this Friday’s game between Hinsdale Little League of Illinois (Great Lakes) or the winner of Salem Little League of New Hampshire (New England) versus Central East Maui Little League (West), with the winner advancing to take on Hinsdale.
If South Shore loses its opening matchup, it will move to the elimination side of the bracket and face the loser of Sioux Falls Little League of South Dakota (Midwest) or Lake Mary Little League of Florida (Southeast) on Saturday, Aug. 17, with a time yet to be determined.
