NewBo City Market prepares to start construction, will stay open for business

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids is getting ready to start construction on its expansion project this February.

The market plans to maintain regular hours and programing, including bingo, trivia, culinary & art classes, and STEAM Saturdays.

The expansion will include a grocery store, event stage, and room for more vendors, and is being funded in part by more than $2 million in various federal and state grants.
