Nicole Kidman Spills on Her Epic Fashion Wins and Fails on the Red Carpet! – Belles and Gals

Nicole Kidman’s fashion journey has been incredibly dynamic.

Although she consistently delivers stellar performances, the 57-year-old star of “Babygirl” shared in her interview for W Magazine’s Best Performance Issue 2024 that not all her fashion choices over the years were successful.

“My mom often critiqued my red carpet outfits,” she revealed during the interview.

“There was this one time I wore a headdress to the Golden Globes,” Kidman recalled. “It was a disaster. Everyone needs a few fashion mishaps!”

Kidman seems to be talking about the 2004 ceremony, where she donned a Dior midi dress adorned with shiny paillettes and a golden headband that complemented her flapper-style curls.

However, Kidman eventually mastered the art of red carpet fashion, showcasing numerous breathtaking dresses over the years.

Her all-time favorite? The striking chartreuse Dior gown by John Galliano that she wore at the 1997 Oscars alongside then-husband Tom Cruise. The gown featured elegant floral embroidery at the neckline and along the sides, and Kidman paired it with a dark lipstick, typical of the nineties.

“I also adore the Galliano gold dress from the 2000 Oscars, which seems to go unnoticed,” Kidman pointed out, also mentioning the gold mesh gloves she accessorized with.

Not just confined to dresses, Kidman expressed her fondness for menswear-inspired ensembles. “I naturally gravitate towards wearing pants, a tie, a suit, and a jacket,” she shared with the magazine.

“The first significant clothing item I bought with my saved per diem was an Alaïa suit. It was incredibly expensive, and I regret not keeping it,” she admitted.

Kidman has since learned to preserve her iconic outfits for her daughters, Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Urban, 14, with her husband, Keith Urban.
