Noah Lyles Fans Land in Debate with NFL Community over Tyreek Hill Drama: “I’m a Hater”

The Noah Lyles and Tyreek Hill saga has been ongoing for a long time. Ever since Hill claimed that he could beat the Olympic gold medalist in a race, both athletes have been going back and forth with each other. However, fans wondered whether Noah Lyles expressing support after Tyreek Hill’s debacle with police in Miami may have improved things. But things don’t seem to change as talks for a race seem to be becoming more and more legitimate.

Fans have now started picking up their sides for the race. The track and field enthusiasts back Noah Lyles as it seems to be the obvious choice. However, the NFL fans haven’t lost their hopes and believe that Tyreek has enough to beat Noah. In an interview on September 18th, the track star gave an update on the race.

In an ESPN interview, Noah Lyles was asked about his thoughts on the potential race with Tyreek Hill. This was after Noah expressed his support to the NFL star after his debacle with the police. While Noah did label Tyreek a clout chaser previously for challenging him, have things changed after his public support? He said, “The two things are different. One has to do with being a human, and the other one has to do with sports. But, yeah, nobody should have to go through what he went through, no matter the circumstances. We’re all human beings, and we should be treated as such.”

However, things are different when it comes to the track. Noah Lyles admitted that if Tyreek Hill wants to race him, he needs to be serious. He simply cannot jump up straight to the fastest man in the 100m. “I didn’t grab this title because it’s easy. I didn’t take the easy route.” Thus, a race in the 100 meters is out of the question. But, Noah is open to race in a different category, mainly 60 meters. He said, “You can’t take the shot at the title, but I’ll let you take a shot at me.” He confirmed that he was in talks for a 60-meter race against Tyreek.

But, while track fans feel that Noah Lyles is the natural choice in this race, NFL fans don’t share the same sentiment. They feel that Tyreek Hill has enough skills to beat Noah Lyles. Some, however, have admitted to wanting to see the NFL star win only because they hate Noah.

NFL fans back Tyreek Hill to beat Noah Lyles in a 60m dash

One fan said, “He got everybody else’s name in his mouth, which is why they challenged him. I didn’t hear a challenge being accepted either.” This comment mainly revolves around Noah Lyles calling out the NBA for using the term ‘world champions’. It had caused a lot of controversy as numerous NBA stars trolled him on social media. The user is trying to imply that Noah comments on other sports, but he doesn’t accept a challenge to prove his credibility. Another comment claimed that Noah is ducking Tyreek as he’s afraid to face him. “Didn’t know Noah spoke fluent coward.” Another user said that they wanted Tyreek to win only because they hate Noah. “I want Tyreek to win so bad… I’m a hater and I hate that for me.”

A user refuted Noah Lyles’ claim of Tyreek Hill wanting to race the fastest in the world in Noah. According to them, he should challenge Letsile Tebogo if that’s the case, as he won the gold in 200m. They said, “Shouldn’t Tyreek be racing that guy from Botswana?” However, some track fans completely rubbished Tyreek’s ability to win the dash. One of them brought up the time when the NFL star refused to race streamer IShowSpeed, who is considered to be a very athletic person. The user said, “Tyreek Hill scary a– wouldn’t even race ‘ishowspeed’ but he thinks he can beat Noah Lyle’s in a race.” Another track fan brought up statistics to make the huge gulf between Noah Lyles and Tyreek Hill clear.

They said, “Tyreek hills fastest 60m dash last year was 6.70, which wasn’t top 200 in the world while Noah Lyle’s is top 10 all time in that and number 3 all time on the 200; it’s not close at all if we’re being real, track speed is different.” Thus, fans on both sides of the spectrum appear to have chosen their favorites. While it’s still unclear if Noah Lyles and Tyreek Hill will actually face off in a race, the possibility seems to be growing more realistic with each passing day.
