LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A local non-profit, Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC are teaming up to inspire the next generation of sports business leaders.

Junior Achievement of Kentuckiana alongside the soccer teams opened its first sports center in JA BizTown on West Muhammad Ali Boulevard.

The center gives kids hands-on learning opportunities by letting them run a mock city. The new addition allows students to pretend to be the CEO, ticket sales or merch representatives for a sports brand.

The class hopes to teach students communication skills, team building and more about the world of sports.

“We’re a firm believer that if you can see it, you can be it. We’re excited to hopefully spark some inspiration and get students excited about future careers as sports professionals,” LouCity and Racing Lou Community Engagement Manager Stephanie Burdorf said.

BizTown is a learning experience for students in grades four through six.
