Nordstrom Rack will open at Village Walk shopping center in Tarzana this fall

Fashion discounter Nordstrom Rack is coming to Tarzana’s popular Village Walk, according to the company.

The 25,000-square-foot store will open its doors in the fall of 2024 at the shopping center on Ventura Boulevard at the site of a closed Whole Foods. Several shops and restaurants, including Blu Jam Cafe, Chipotle Mexican Grill restaurant, LA Fitness and T.J. Maxx department store, share the plaza.

“We look forward to being a part of the Tarzana community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices,” said Gemma Lionello, president of Nordstrom Rack, in a statement. “We’re excited to grow our footprint in the Los Angeles market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience.”

Lionello added that the Tarzana location will offer “convenient services such as online order pick up from both Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com, and they can make returns easily.”

Village Walk shopping plaza at 18700 Ventura Blvd. is managed by Chicago-based Pine Tree company.

Michael Slusky, EVP and director of leasing for Pine Tree, said in a statement that the new store will “offer consumers high-quality items at a great value, further enhancing the shopping center’s offerings and cementing its place as an essential retail destination within the community.”

Nordstrom Rack, the “off-price retail” division of luxury retailer Nordstrom based in Seattle, has several stores in and near the Valley, including Porter Ranch, Woodland Hills, Glendale and Burbank.
