North Dakota Has Two Main Streets On USA’s Best X-Mas Shopping
How are you doing with your Christmas shopping so far?
I’m guessing a lot better than myself at this point, as I have not bought a single present yet. I have started my list in my head if that counts.
Mall shopping has really never been my thing, I prefer to hit the streets and the smaller, specialty stores if I had to choose.
I also find myself doing more and more online shopping, like most Americans, and not having to worry about finding a parking spot or not being able to find what I’m looking for.
One thing online shopping can’t deliver is that Christmasy feeling you get walking down holiday-decorated city streets or inside stores.
If you take the time to remember, you feel that Christmas magic you felt as a child holiday shopping with your parents. The lit decorations, the bell ringing, and the all-around holiday cheer that we somehow seem to forget about as we grow older.
The website Present.com came up with the Top 150 Main Streets for Christmas Shopping and North Dakota had two streets make the list.
Their methodology was based on an online panel survey of 3,000 adults with a mixture of different age groups, genders, and people from all over the United States.
The highest ranking “Main Street” in North Dakota?
Fargo’s Broadway Street, which came in at #107.
One other street in North Dakota is also a good option if you want to get in touch with your inner child and feel that Christmas magic again.
Medora’s Main Street came in at #123.
Medora is always a great place to visit no matter what the season, especially at Christmas time.
