North Kansas City museum lands on PEOPLE’s list for best food, travel in 2024

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Alongside sites like the Extraterrestrial Highway, the Purple Rain House and DreamWorks Land, a North Kansas City museum is also being mentioned for best food and travel.

PEOPLE Magazine announced on Wednesday, May 15, that it has rounded up the nation’s 25 bucket-list-worthy travel spots, from ice cave explorations to the best-fried chicken in the city and a Kansas City, Mo., establishment made the cut.

Rabbit hOle, 919 E. 14th Ave., in North Kansas City, will be featured in PEOPLE’s 2024 Food & Travel Special. The print is set to be featured on newsstands around the nation on Friday. The list also includes:

  • The flower fields in Crested Butte, Colorado
  • The Polk Penguin Conservation Center at Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak, Michigan
  • The Outsiders house in Tulsa, Oklahoma
  • Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas
  • The Astronaut Training experience at Kennedy Space Center at Merritt Island in Florida

  • Garth Brooks’ Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk in Nashville, Tennessee
  • Vee Bar Guest Ranch in Laramie, Wyoming

  • EaDough in Houston, Texas
  • Lakon Paris Patisserie in Newton Highlands, Massachusetts
  • Alexander’s Patisserie in San Francisco, California
  • Minnesota Yacht Club
  • Oceans Calling in Ocean City, Maryland
  • Fall in Love in L.A., California
  • Sea.Hear.Now in Asbury Park, New Jersey

The Rabbit hOle is a children’s museum that opened its doors in early March to foster a new love of literature for all. The first-of-its-kind museum spans three floors and brings countless works of children’s literature to life.
