Northfield Chamber Hosts Programs To Encourage Local Shopping This Holiday Season
By Logan Wells, News Director | Logan@kymnradio.net
The Northfield Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the holidays with several events and programs throughout the season to support local businesses.
In an effort to promote shopping at local businesses, the chamber is starting a holiday passport which is active from now until the end of the month. By spending money at Chamber member businesses on gifts, gas, or groceries and completing the passport, you can win prizes. Passports can be downloaded from the Chamber of Commerce website on the homepage, along with a list of many Northfield area participating stores. Collect your receipts, attach them to your passport, and turn them in to the Chamber office on Bridge Square by December 2nd for the prize drawing on December 4th.
The chamber’s Winter Walk Sparkle and Shine window contest is ongoing until December 12th. Look for the QR code in each participant’s window and vote for your favorites in four festive categories. Be sure to enjoy all the holiday displays before casting your vote!
Starting at the end of November, on every Saturday from the 30th to December 21st, Santa Claus will be on Bridge Square from 10am to Noon.
The biggest local event of the holiday season, Winter Walk, will be on Thursday, December 12th. The event will include sleigh rides, shopping deals, games, Santa, Rudolph, caroling, and more. We will have more information and stories about Winter Walk as we get closer to December.
You can find all the information for these events on the chamber’s website, northfieldchamber.com, and on its social media. Of course, the Chamber encourages everyone to shop locally this season.
