Nothing wild? Rihanna shares details of her 2024 Met Gala look
Met Gala 2024, the biggest fashion day is just around the corner, and a few days before the red carpet will roll out on the iconic stairs of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rihanna has shared her plans for the annual fashion parade.
Over the years, the Grammy winner has been one of the event regulars and has made sure to turn heads with her jaw-dropping looks, which went down to register its place in Met Gala’s book of historic looks. However, this year, the mother-of-two has planned to go simple.
During her interview with Extra, the 36-year-old shared, “I’m actually keeping it relatively simple this year. The overall look will depend on my makeup and hairstyle.”
Elaborating further, the superstar said that the two gowns that she has picked for the event are, “very simple compared to everything I’ve worn before.”
“I am showing up for dinner,” she added.
Last year, the beauty mogul showed up at the event wearing a giant white dress from Valentino Haute Couture featuring a cape and a large train. Matching to her look, she wore a silver and pearl jewellery.
Rihanna, who is now a mother of two RZA and Riot Rose, went on to share how after becoming a mother, her fashion style has transformed a lot. Speaking on the same, the Umbrella singer said, ”When you become a mon, your style goes from blah to let’s see what fits I’m gonna be a bad bitch today.”
She added, ”You’ve got to remind yourself sometimes that you’re still in their.”

The annual charity event, which benefits the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, will take place on May 6, 2024, in New York City. The theme of this year’s fashion extravaganza is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” with a dress code “The Garden of Time.”
This year’s event will be co-chaired by Zendaya, Bad Bunny Jennifer Lopez and Chris Hemsworth.
