NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU Custom Models Roundup: The Flagship Gets Extreme Designs From All
Well, the new flagship, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, is here and AIBs are rolling out an impressive array of custom models for it, so we thought why not do a roundup of all the new models.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Flagship GPU Gets Stunning Custom Models From AIBs, The Founders Edition Is A Beauty on Its Own
Sure, the new NVIDIA Founders Edition design for the GeForce RTX 5090 looks great, and best of all, it’s much more compact than the previous FE offerings for flagship models, but AIBs are trying their best to offer improved cooling solutions and designs with their custom variants, so let’s see what the manufacturer has on offer.
ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Custom Models
ASUS has three models in its stack and each of them is a work of art. We are looking at the ROG Astral RTX 5090, which comes in both air and liquid-cooled variants. The air-cooled variant comes with a quad-fan design with three fans on the front and one on the back, while the LC model is designed as a liquid cooling solution which makes use of a hybrid design and a 360mm AIO rad. Lastly, we have the RTX 5090 TUF Gaming model which features a triple-fan and triple-fan design.
MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Custom Models
MSI is releasing an array of NVIDIA RTX 5090 GPUs in custom variations which feature the iconic SUPRIM and Gaming Trio designs along with new additions such as the Vanguard and known models such as the Ventus.
The SUPRIM comes in both air and liquid-cooled variations, with the air-cooled model going with a triple-fan and quad-slot solution, while the SUPRIM Liquid goes for a dual-slot design and a higher-end 360mm radiator, a big upgrade over the 240mm radiator used on the RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid. The Gaming Trio and Vanguard also feature triple-fan solutions with 3.5-slot designs, while the Ventus goes for a 3-slot layout.
Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Custom Models
Gigabyte has fashioned its existing and new models (also within the Aorus stack) with updated designs that look phenomenal. Some of the standout models include the Xtreme Waterforce & Waterblock variants, which are designed for liquid-cooling enthusiasts, while the Master ICE and standard triple-fan / quad-slot models look as great as ever. The company also has the traditional Gaming OC and Windforce OC models, which are solid performers.
GALAX NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Custom Models
GALAX, the OC masters, is launching the GeForce RTX 5090 in its standard 1-Click OC variation for now. The card is just as hefty as ever with a nice black color scheme coupled with ARGB fans that can be turned off for that full stealthy look. It comes in a triple-slot design and that’s about it, but we can expect more high-end designs from the manufacturer in the future, such as the HOF series.
PNY NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Custom Models
PNY is rolling out two impressive models within its GeForce RTX 5090 custom stack. These include a standard and an ARGB variant of the same model which uses a high-end triple-fan cooler in a triple slot design and should offer some great cooling capabilities. PNY also tends to keep the prices very close to MSRP, so that might also be the case with the standard non-ARGB model.
ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Custom Models
ZOTAC has three models lined up for the GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card, which includes its Amped up “AMP Extreme Infinity” and the SOLID series, which come in both standard and OC variants. All three variants feature triple-fan cooling solutions and triple-slot designs. The AMP Extreme Infinity gets that large RGB diffuser on the side which looks stunning.
Colorful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Custom Models
Colorful’s GeForce RTX 5090 lineup is getting three models at launch, which will include the Neptune, Vulcan, and Advanced models. The Neptune is the highlight with its unique white design and a 360mm liquid cooler, while the Vulcan and Advanced are strong offerings with triple-fan and triple-slot designs.
Palit NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Custom Models
For its lineup, Palit is unveiling the GeForce RTX 5090 GameRock which comes in both standard and OC flavors. This is a monster of a design with a triple-fan array and quad-slot design which comes in a very colorful layout. The whole front of the card has an RGB diffuser, giving it a rather unique visual touch, while the backside comes with a large exhaust vent.
Gainward NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Custom Models
Just like Palit, Gainward also has a single card in its custom lineup for now and that’s the GeForce RTX 5090 Phantom and Phantom GS (Golden Sample). The model comes with an all-black layout & triple-fan cooling in a 3.2-slot design and looks very strong from a visual perspective. It also has a very dense cooling solution.
AIBs have yet to confirm the prices of each model and neither of them is listing the final clocks, but we can expect them to be above the reference specs, above 2.5 GHz. We are also expecting faster models to roll down around Computex 2025, so stay tuned for more information and, once again, the RTX 5090 will be available on the 30th of January for an MSRP of $1999 US.
