OAK launches travel planning tool

San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport (OAK) has launched WhereWeFly, a 3D route map and destination guide

WhereWeFly streamlines how passengers can search and discover the 48 destinations served by San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport (OAK).

“As OAK continues to prioritise traveller experiences, we’re thrilled to introduce WhereWeFly on our website,” said Craig Simon, director of aviation at the Port of Oakland. “This innovative tool is a game changer for passengers, empowering them with comprehensive destination information and helping them plan their journeys to and from our airport.”

WhereWeFly can be accessed via OAK’s website Port of Oakland

Built by immersive passenger maps specialist FlightPath3D, the mobile-friendly tool is embedded directly into OAK’s website. To facilitate travel planning, the tool has interactive features like a 3D globe that visualises each route with pan and zoom capabilities, search filters that personalise the flight search, and social media style video guides to cities OAK serves.

Users can also include friends and family in the planning process by saving videos to custom trip playlists and sharing the link directly with their travel companions. When ready to book, WhereWeFly’s flight calendar feature lets the user select preferred dates, view available flights, and go straight to the airline’s booking portal
