Olivia Culpo kicks off NYFW in daring dress with down-to-there neckline

Olivia Culpo kicked off New York Fashion Week with a bang — or, rather, a plunge.

The former Miss Universe, 32, attended the Bulgari Studio Party on Wednesday night wearing a form-fitting black dress that featured an extremely low-cut neckline.

The body-baring design highlighted Culpo’s bust and was mostly open in the back, though the piece also included pointed details up top, giving things an unexpectedly quirky spin.

Culpo kept her hair pulled back for the night, highlighting her signature brows and putting her sparkly, jewel-embellished Bulgari chokers on full display.

She completed the look with a pair of tights and black pointed-toe pumps.

The bold ensemble comes after Culpo faced criticism for her modest wedding dress, which she wore to marry San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, 28, in June.

Culpo walked down the aisle in a long-sleeved Dolce & Gabbana ballgown, explaining to Vogue that she “didn’t want it to exude sex in any way, shape or form” for the church ceremony, which took place in Rhode Island.

Afterward, people shared their thoughts on social media, with bridal influencer @gowneyedgirl noting that, while she though Culpo wore a “simple, elegant dress,” it was all the “stuff surrounding the dress that leaves kind of a bitter aftertaste.”

Both the former pageant queen and her new husband quickly fired back in the comments section, calling the post “evil” and labeling the influencer a “bizarre human.”

Culpo later shared with People that her comments about her wedding dress were taken “out of context” and were trying to “fit an agenda” she didn’t have.

“I wanted to feel like myself in every sense of the word,” she explained to the publication. “And I think that that’s where my decision to be more pared down came in.”

But, while the “Culpo Sisters” star did note that she wanted to make choices on her big day that she “could be proud of in 50 years,” she also isn’t afraid of getting a little risqué with her everyday wardrobe.

In 2022, she attended Paris Fashion Week wearing a cutout Mônot design and has sported her fair share of strappy, low-cut swimwear, even rocking a plunging white one-piece while on a romantic vacation in 2023.

Clearly, this girl can do both!
