After the Galaxy A54, the Galaxy A34 has started receiving the One UI 6.1 update in South Korea. Other countries and regions could soon receive the update for the Galaxy A34. Other high-end phones from Samsung, including the ones in the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series phones, have already received the update in Europe, South Korea, and the US.
Galaxy A34 gets One UI 6.1 update in South Korea
The One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy A35 doesn’t bring any Galaxy AI features seen on the Galaxy S24. The update comes with firmware version A346NKSU5CXD5 and has a download size of over 1GB. The update still uses the April 2024 security patch rather than Samsung’s newest (May 2024) security patch.
If you have a Galaxy A34 and live in South Korea, you can download the new update by opening the Settings app on your phone, navigating to Software update, and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
The story continues after our video where you can see the performance of Galaxy AI features on the Galaxy S24.
Galaxy A34 One UI 6.1 features
The One UI 6.1 update brings several advanced image editing features to the Galaxy A34. Those features include more accurate image clipping, copying an object from one image and pasting it to another, improved search in the Gallery app, editing video playback speed, and sharing video editing state with other Galaxy devices.
The home screen and lock screen wallpaper can be edited using the depth-of-field effect to make people or pets stand out. There are new lock screen widgets, more font options for the lock screen clock widget, and more intuitive calendar settings. You can customize alarm and reminder alerts and decorate calendar entries with custom stickers. In the Reminders app, you can set icons for reminder categories.
You can change the order of Modes, turn off/on Modes from the home screen, and choose new Routines settings. One UI 6.1 brings the new Quick Share feature, the new Samsung Find app (for sharing location with others and finding lost devices), and the ability to create a Samsung account for children. You can change settings for the Samsung Account for kids.
Samsung Internet now lets you share tab groups with other devices. In Samsung Health, you can choose different daily targets, compete with yourself (via past records), and add moods and physical symptoms for women’s menstrual cycle data.
Microphone modes and video call effects are easier to access with the One UI 6.1 update. The Weather widget displays more information. Entering text via voice input can be done without hiding the Samsung Keyboard. You can open all minimized apps at once. There are more battery protection features. The Finder section now displays search results from the internet (Google) for matching search terms.
