BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Online shopping is one of the most convenient ways to deliver items to your front door. However, from time to time packages arrive damaged or the item appears to have been used previously. Well, retail giants like Amazon and Walmart have begun issuing refunds on these items, while also allowing you to keep the initial item received and sending a second item that is not damaged or used.

Depending on the price of the item, the price of the shipping label to return the item back to wherever warehouse it was initially sent from, in some cases it is cheaper for companies like Amazon to issue a full refund of the item and leave you with the item instead of having to print out the return label and send it back.

Artificial Intelligence, or A.I. has contributed to analyzing the best method of financial return for the retail stores in these situations. Depending on the circumstance, you may end up having a slightly used item that can be donated or gifted, while also receiving a good condition item and all of your money back.
