Opening dates for 2 Greater Cincinnati World Market stores announced

World Market, a retailer known for its eclectic selection of home goods and foods from around the globe, is coming to the Greater Cincinnati area with two new locations. The opening day for one of the stores is nearing.

World Market’s Rookwood Commons & Pavilions location in Norwood will have its grand opening 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 25, the company confirmed. Its storefront is now marked with the company’s logo, as well.

A listing for the grand opening on Visit Cincy’s event calendar advertises complimentary food and drink samples, giveaways, savings opportunities and a free tote bag for the first 100 customers.

The store is situated at 2692 Madison Road between Sierra and Mitchell’s Salon & Day Spa at the shopping center.

A second World Market location is set to open in Greater Cincinnati later this year, The Enquirer previously reported.

That location is coming to the Crestview Hills Town Center and is slated to open by October, according to Christine Berger, property manager at Crestview Hills Town Center.

It will occupy the property that was formerly DSW before the shoe retailer moved to another location at the shopping center, Berger said.

“We are very excited for World Market to open. They will be a perfect addition to our center,” Berger wrote in an email to The Enquirer.

There are 239 World Market stores in the United States, according to the company’s website. The website lists eight locations in Ohio, including the Norwood location.

The Crestview Hills World Market store will be Kentucky’s third.
