Welcome to MH Style Gains, where Men’s Health’s Style Team finds the best new menswear releases of the month so you can look and feel your best.

Summer is coming to a close, but there’s still plenty of heat-seeking menswear drops worth shopping before the season’s over. And the beauty of these grails: they’re as versatile as they are stylish, which means you can wear them just about anywhere, and transition well into fall. That’s because they were handpicked by our style director Ted Stafford, who kept fashion and function at the top of his mind during his search. From an athleisure-ready travel blazer, an Olympics-themed ticker, to a moisture-wicking polo shirt, read on for our favorite menswear releases of August.

Cloudtilt 2.0 Stretch-Knit Sneaker

On’s partnership with Loewe has been one of our favorite luxe-activewear collabs of the past year, and they’ve done it again with the Cloudtilt 2.0. This second iteration is leaner and meaner, with a lighter (but still sturdy!) stretch-knit that moves like a second skin, and helps keep your dogs cozy and dry. Plus, the upper just looks cool as hell—with a groovy gradient design that makes a stylish punctuation mark to your everyday fits. “This sneaker is perfect for your daily city voyages,” says Stafford.

All the best-dressed guys we know are sporting necklaces these days. Exhibit A: our July/August cover star, Jeremy Renner, who wore this stunning pendant during his MH shoot. Our style editors have raved about this jewelry collab with John Hardy, which is chockfull of sleek-yet-understated dog tags and bracelets, which play nice with just about any summer look. Stafford especially recommends it for guys who are new to wearing jewelry. “You’re bound to find a statement piece!” he says.

Performance Iconic BB1 Polo

The looming U.S. Open is keeping our Challengers summer vibes going. If you’re also in the market for a sharp tennis shirt, cop this one from Fila’s new Casa Fila collection, a stack of luxe athleisure that’s worth wearing year-round. Stafford’s favorite: this BB1 polo, which is inspired by a shirt worn by Bjork Borg during the Golden Era of tennis. It’s been updated with 2024 features, including an odor-and moisture-fighting fabric. “This will keep you feeling good on and off the court,” says Stafford.

x Chavaret Swim Trunks

Yeah, it’s the dog days of summer, but there’s still plenty of time to rock swim trunks, especially if they look like this one from Thorsun. The brand’s recent collab with Charvet is luxe as hell, with a smooth-as-butter fabric and an expensive-looking pattern that gives French Riviera vibes.

Federation Blazer

Behold: a travel blazer that’s as sharp as it is comfortable. That’s because it’s made by Tracksmith, one of our favorite activewear brands. This jacket is inspired by the 1924 Olympics, with a throwback, relaxed build that’s roomy, but still stylish. And the organic twill finish can dress up your office uniform, while also playing nice with a mid-washed faded jean.

House of the Dragon Agility Peak 5

House of the Dragon is officially over, but Merrell is keeping the fire vibes going thanks to its latest collab with the HBO hit. This trail runner comes in three styles featuring the show’s three major houses: Targaryen, Hightower and Velaryon.

And just like our favorite Merrell sneakers, this one is tough as hell, and purpose built for rugged runs. It has a breathable mesh lining, a rock plate for protection, and a super grippy outsole that can keep up with even the rockiest terrain.

Buck Mason Tough Knit Pocket T-shirt

Americana icon J.Press teamed up with Buck Mason to create the perfect mid-weight pocket T-shirt. It’s cut high on the arm to show off those guns, and has a thick neck collar that’s super flattering. Fit-wise, it’s got a plush, lived-in feel that you can easily lounge in, and is the perfect shirt to transition from summer to fall.

Seamaster Olympic Official Timekeeper

“The spirit of the Olympics is in full swing and Omega is there for every millisecond of the excitement,” says Stafford. After all, the watch giant is the official timekeeper of the games. And to celebrate the event, OMEGA dropped its gorgeous Seamster collection, which is inspired by the colors of the Olympic rings.

This stack of stylish tickers have a micro-perforated strap and a sleek black-and-white dial for a sporty and classy look. The case back also features every host city and dates staring from the beginning of OMEGA’s Olympic journey, which began in 1932. “This is one special watch that we continually admire, and the blue feels right at this moment and for years to come,” Stafford says.

We know the saying goes “don’t get too comfortable”, but here at Men’s Health, we’re all about comfort! Adidas Adilette slides has become an official favorite slide during those recovery days or those occasions where you simply just need something to slide on.
