Our Shopping Pros Found the Only Amazon Deals to Shop for October’s Prime Day
“Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links.”
If you’re the type of person who prefers to get their holiday gift shopping done early, you’re in luck. Amazon just announced this year’s second Prime Day, called Prime Big Deal Days — which means you can shop major sales on tech, gifts, seasonal decor, fall fashion and more very soon. Mark your calendars: Prime Day returns October 8-9, 2024.
With the deluge of deals coming our way in the next few months, it’s tricky to know what Prime Day items are really worth adding to cart, and which will be cheaper later on. As a shopping editor, I’m here to help you cut through the clutter. Plus, our team of pros at the Good Housekeeping Institute have tested and reviewed so many Prime Day best-sellers, making it easier to know what’s actually worth your money.
Based on the early sales we’re seeing — and data from Prime Days’ past — we expect Prime Big Deal Days 2024 to offer sales on brands like Dyson, Le Creuset and Apple that don’t typically have sales of their own. We also anticipate low prices on home decor, luggage, pet supplies, and even fall fashion. In fact, the early deals are already rolling in, so keep your eyes peeled as you scroll.
What is Amazon ‘Prime Big Deal Days’?
Prime Big Deal Days is Amazon’s latest two-day sale exclusive to Prime members. That means you must be logged into your Amazon Prime account in order to see and shop all of the deals. Just like summer Prime Day, which happened on July 16-17 this year, the sale is expected to include some of the biggest discounts of the year on best-selling items from all corners of the site.
This is the third year running that Amazon has hosted an October sale, which is being positioned as an early Black Friday of sorts. So expect markdowns on seasonal items like Halloween costumes, Christmas decor, gifts and stocking stuffers, plus the slew of big-ticket items like electronics, vacuums, countertop appliances and more.
How much does Amazon Prime cost?
If you’re interested in trying an Amazon Prime membership, non-members can easily sign up for a 30-day free trial to test out the service and take advantage of sales. After that, it’s $14.99 per month or $139 annually, with perks like special discounts for students and people who qualify for government assistance.
