Owensboro Health expands Sports Medicine Walk-In Clinic hours, now open Saturdays

Owensboro Health has expanded its Sports Medicine Walk-In Clinic hours to include Saturdays. OH officials said the extension is particularly beneficial for athletes who may experience injuries during games on Friday nights and for those who find it difficult to come in on Monday mornings or prefer to avoid the Emergency Department.

The clinic now offers walk-in hours from 8-11 a.m. Monday through Saturday at the Pleasant Valley Medical Building, 1301 Pleasant Valley Road, Suite 500B.

“After continuous years of providing successful walk-in coverage at our Owensboro location, we are thrilled to extend our services to better serve our community,” said Melissa Hoffer, OH Orthopedics Associate Director. “It allows us to provide timely care for athletes and other patients so they receive the attention they need without delay. We aim to make quality orthopedic and sports medicine care as accessible and convenient as possible for everyone in our community.”

The Sports Medicine Walk-In Clinic is designed to assist with emergencies such as sprained joints and minor bone fractures, providing access to advanced orthopedic and sports medicine care. Patients ages 5 and up are welcome, whether they are new or established. Patients don’t have to be an athlete to be treated. The clinic sees walk-in patients for various conditions, including:

  • Breaks
  • Carpal tunnel
  • Concussions
  • Sore joints
  • Sprains

If you feel your injury is an emergency and needs immediate attention, call 911 or go to the Emergency Department.
