Paragon Casino shares its July entertainment lineup

MARKSVILLE, La. – Paragon Casino Resort is Central Louisiana’s go-to destination for the Fourth of July holiday!

Paragon Casino Resort and the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana are hosting this year’s Avoyelles Arts & Music Festival starting with a parade at 10:00 a.m. on Tunica Dr. The festival will be indoors and outdoors with opening ceremonies in the Mari Showroom. There will be live music from headliners like Cupid, Lil’ Nathan & The Zydeco Big Timers, Amanda Shaw & The Cute Guys, Rusty Metoyer & The Zydeco Krush and Chase Tyler Band. The festival will also feature a car & truck show, food eating contests, corn hole tournament, Zydeco dance-off, a Kidz Zone with rides and games, multiple bars for adults and a dazzling fireworks display! General admission is $10 with kids aged six and under free. The festival is Thursday, July 4.

Amid the excitement of the festival, there will also be a slot tournament, poker tournament, and cash giveaways in Paragon Casino! On Thursday, July 4, the Red, White & You Slot Tournament will heat things up with 30 players winning a share of more than $13,000 in free play. Registration for the tournament begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Promotions Counter with slot sessions beginning at 11:00 a.m. The tournament is one session per guest for three minutes and you must earn 50 points to play. Then, registration begins at 1:00 p.m. for the 4^th of July Poker Tournament! The tournament is No-Limit Texas Hold ‘Em and has a $1,000 guaranteed minimum prize pool with a maximum of 40 players allowed to enter. Players can register in the Poker Room and the tournament begins at 4:00 p.m. Finally, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., 44 Will Win $444! Winners will be drawn every 30 minutes with chances to earn entries from midnight until 7:59 p.m. on July 4. You must be present to claim your prize before 11:59 p.m.

To keep the patriotic celebrations going, Grammy-winning artist Lee Greenwood will perform a 40^th Anniversary Concert for his nationally beloved hit, “God Bless the U.S.A.” Greenwood will take the Mari Showroom stage on Saturday, July 6, at 8:00 p.m. Guests can expect to end the Fourth of July holiday with the most widely known patriotic song in America along with other hits like Greenwood’s “I.O.U.” Tickets start at just $20 and they are going fast! Doors open at 7:00 p.m.

Later in the month, those looking for a thrill will find it when Bishop Promotions, American Kombat Alliance 39 comes back to the Mari Showroom for live MMA fights. The heart-pumping action will feature fights between several top-name athletes and takes place on Saturday, July 27 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets start at $60.

In addition to the jam-packed month of events, there will be several drawings, giveaways and dining deals to get you excited! On Beat the Heat Fridays, guests can win a share of over $400,000 – drawings from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., plus play a kiosk game for up to $1,000 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Saturdays, there are more kiosk games for up to $1,000, plus guests can earn a bottle of choice vodka by earning 125 points.
