Paramount Animation & Hasbro Entertainment’s ‘Transformers One’ Will Be More Than Meets The Eye At San Diego Comic-Con

EXCLUSIVE: Paramount Animation and Hasbro Entertainment’s Transformers One will show up big at San Diego Comic-Con this year with an all-star panel set for Thursday, July 25 at 11:45am PST.

Showing off exclusive footage and chatting up the Sept. 20 theatrical release in Hall H will be stars Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Keegan-Michael Key, and Oscar winning filmmaker Josh Cooley, and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura. Fans attending will receive an exclusive poster. Transformers One is one of Paramount’s highest tested animated films in the history of the studio, not to mention it’s the first Transformers animated movie in close to 40 years.

Paramount was the only motion picture studio to host a panel last year with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem as that pic’s filmmakers were permitted to show up during the actors strike.

The CG-animated Transformers One follows the untold origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, who were friends before they were enemies, only to change the fate of CyberTron forever.

Also starring are Scarlett Johansson, Steve Buscemi, with Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm. Pic is also produced with New Republic Pictures. Producers are di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto and Don Murphy, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian and Aaron Dem. EPs are Steven Spielberg, Zev Foreman, Olivier Dumont, Brian Oliver, B.J. Farmer and Matt Quigg.

The Transformers feature franchise has grossed $5.3 billion at the global box office.
