Sam Coffey is also among those unavailable for selection, with the midfielder suspended following her yellow card three minutes into the USA’s win over the Matildas last time out.

Despite injuries and suspensions, Hayes is reluctant to change her side too much.

Trinity Rodman is currently one yellow away from missing a potential semi-final, but that is a risk Hayes is willing to take.

“You’ve got to play football [and] if you look at last year’s World Cup, the two teams in the final made the least amount of changes in their squad,” Hayes added.

“Minimal changes give you a better chance to build the creativity, so I will not change anything I’m doing, even if Trin’s on a yellow card.

“We can’t play football like that. We just have to be prepared and deal with whatever comes with it.”
