Paris Fashion Week Shares Jam-Packed Provisional Schedule
Menswear and Couture Form a 10-Day Fashion Extravaganza, Including Dries Van Noten’s Final Men’s Show and Thom Browne’s Couture Comeback
The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode has unveiled the provisional schedule for Spring 2025 Men’s and Fall 2024 Couture fashion weeks in Paris. Due to the Olympics taking over the city this summer, the two weeks have been condensed together for a 10-day marathon fashion extravaganza. The schedule includes 72 men’s labels presenting their Spring 2025 collections from June 18th to the 23rd, followed by 30 couture houses showcasing their Fall 2024 designs from the 24th through the 27th.
One of the most anticipated shows of the week is the bittersweet event of Dries Van Noten’s final menswear show as creative director of his eponymous label on the 22nd. Tentpole names of the week such as Louis Vuitton, Dior Homme, and Comme des Garçons are set to hold runway shows in their usual spots on the schedule.
Meanwhile, Valentino and Paul Smith are opting out of the Paris session, with Smith showcasing his collection at Pitti Uomo in Florence. Valentino’s first collection under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele will debut during Spring 2025 women’s later this year. Givenchy, and GmbH are also absent from the lineup.
The schedule will commence with the BA students of the Institut Français de la Mode on June 18, followed by various presentations and runway shows throughout the week.
In the couture segment, Schiaparelli will kick off the proceedings on June 24, with few changes in the overall schedule – save for the exciting return of Thom Browne, who presented his first haute couture collection during the Fall 2024 couture season, as well as Charles de Vilmorin.
Dior, Chanel, Giorgio Armani Privé, Balenciaga, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Fendi are among the notable names set to showcase their collections during the couture week. Absentees from the Fall season include Ronald van der Kemp, Julien Fournié, and Alexandre Vauthier, the latter holding one-to-one client appointments after filing for court protection.
Newcomer Bahareh Ardakani’s label ArdAzAei will close the couture schedule on June 27 as the latest guest member of the couture federation.
