The much-anticipated Parkland Dash is back, offering participants a chance to run or walk for a great cause.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 13, 2024, and lace up your running shoes for a morning of fitness at Pine Trails Park.

Whether you’re an avid runner or prefer a stroll, there’s a distance for everyone with the 5k (3.1 miles), 5-mile, and 1-mile walk/run options.

Registration for the Parkland Dash runs through October 12 at 11:59 p.m. Sign up before registration closes to secure your spot in this fun and charitable event at Parkland Dash.

This year’s event supports Make Our Schools Safe, a national 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to ensuring the safety of students and teachers. By participating, you’ll be contributing to their vital mission of creating safer school environments nationwide.

Make Our Schools Safe empowers students and staff to maintain a culture of vigilance and preparedness. Their approach includes survival training and scenario-based education to protect against potential threats, including active shooter situations. As they work alongside security experts, the organization aims to make safety drills a natural part of every school’s routine, similar to fire drills. Your participation in the Parkland Dash helps provide essential resources for this vital cause.

All registered participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt and finisher medal (while supplies last). Additionally, awards will be given to the top three male and female overall finishers for both the 5K and 5-mile races.
