Penguins-Red Wings preseason game delayed due to travel issues
The Pittsburgh Penguins’ preseason road game against the Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena will be delayed because of unspecified travel issues for the Penguins.
Per social media, the Red Wings announced the delay.
The game now is estimated to begin shortly after 8:30 p.m. Opening faceoff originally was scheduled for shortly after 7 p.m.
Unlike the regular season, NHL teams typically travel the day of road games during the preseason. The Penguins staged a morning skateSaturday in Cranberry then embarked to Detroit.
