People Are Noticing An Odd Choice In Jennifer Lopez’s Tribute To Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez’s recent Father’s Day tribute to Ben Affleck has some eagle-eyed fans scratching their heads.

The “Atlas” star wished her husband a happy Father’s Day on Sunday amid ongoing speculation that their marriage is on the rocks. Fans of the celebrity couple have since suggested that Lopez made quite the curious photo choice to celebrate Affleck.

The “Can’t Get Enough” singer shared a black-and-white image of the “Air” director that was apparently a still from his 2001 film “Pearl Harbor.” She wrote “Our hero” alongside a heart emoji in a text overlay of the post.

Lopez notably did not share a current photo of Affleck, which didn’t exactly quell rumors about their marriage. Some social media users also pointed out that “Pearl Harbor” has a significant link to Affleck’s ex-wife, actor Jennifer Garner. The former couple, who share three children together, met on the set of the Michael Bay film.

“The only thing is – it is a still from Pearl Harbour – the movie with Jennifer Garner in it as well,” wrote one user on X, formerly Twitter, in reference to the Father’s Day post.

“Weird using Ben playing a military guy photo,” wrote another. “These types of holidays are to honor real people. Not movie characters people played 20 years ago.”

Another X user added, “couldn’t even use a real picture of him either, pulled a google image of him from pearl harbor film.”

Affleck and Lopez wed in 2022, rekindling their romance two decades after their first engagement in the early 2000s.

But recently, some fans have wondered if Lopez and Affleck are headed for a split following news that the celebrity pair hoped to sell a $61 million home they bought in 2023.

And in May, the singer announced that she was canceling her forthcoming “This Is Me… Live” tour, saying that she was “completely heartsick and devastated” about the move.

Lopez, who shares two kids with ex-husband Marc Anthony, was “taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends,” tour promoter Live Nation said at the time.

Meanwhile, the state of their relationship has been the focus of various media reports.

While promoting “Atlas” in Mexico City last month, Lopez responded to a journalist who asked about the “truth of the situation” with regard to her marriage.

“You know better than that,” she said, brushing off the question.
