Photography-Inspired Fashion Collections

The COS x Chris Perani Collection presents a unique fusion of fashion and photography. In essence, the capsule draws inspiration from the detailed and often unseen beauty found in nature, as captured by Californian photographer Chris Perani.

The COS x Chris Perani Collection consists of 24 pieces that explore organic textures and intricate patterns — from curiosity-provoking mineral formations to the strikingly iridescent wings of butterflies. The designers used digital prints to bring the vibrant colors and textures from Perani’s photographs to life across different fabrics. For instance, a white shirt with a beaded applique of a butterfly wing adds a visual statement, while the long-sleeved wool knit dress combines rich hues and a fluid silhouette to evoke nature’s movements. The denim separates in the collection also stand out. These silhouettes are enhanced with a jacquard pattern that subtly references the butterfly’s delicate scales.
