Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond took to social media accompanying her daughter Paige on a trip in which she went shopping for a wedding dress.
The Food Network personality, 55, who is known for providing recipes via her platform, took to Instagram Sunday with snaps of her accompanying her 25-year-old daughter, her youngest, to a dress shop amid her forthcoming nuptials to David Andersen.
‘Had a really special weekend doing a really special thing!’ Ree said in a caption to an image in which she wore a button-up white shirt with blue jeans while Paige was in a slinky white gown.
Ree shared details of the outing in a Sunday blog post titled ‘Ree and Paige Drummond Went Shopping For the Perfect Wedding Dress.’
In a second clip from the outing, Ree, Paige, Ree’s daughter Alex Drummond and Andersen’s mother and sister had a toast, scored to the 1964 song Chapel of Love.

Paige said on Instagram Stories that she ‘found something really special this weekend!!!’ adding with a foam champagne bottle replica that read, ‘I said “yes” to the dress.’
Ree walked her fans through the special day, writing on her blog: ‘There’s something about wedding dress shopping that feels like an official kickoff!’
She added, ‘We ooohed, ahhhed, sipped champagne, and did all the things we gals do in these kinds of settings.’
Ree shared that Paige did not want ‘sparkles, sleeves, or appliqué’ on her gown.
Ree went on to say that during the day she got to know David’s family a bit better.
‘Paige had invited David’s mom and sister, and we all had the best day together. It was a big of a crash course in getting to know one another since we’d only met a couple of times before, but it was such a fun, natural vibe…and Heather, David’s mom, is hilarious and laughs at herself just like I do, so we were equally awkward all day!’
The proud mom revealed she and David’s mom had taken bets on how many dresses Paige would try on, but both ended up being wrong.
One guessed it would be eight dresses, while another thought it would be twenty two, but Paige ended up trying on a total of forty dresses.

Paige is getting married to boyfriend of one year David in May, following their engagement on August 4th
Ree previously shared she kept the engagement a secret ‘for about six weeks’ before David asked Paige to marry him
‘Fortunately, she moved at lightning speed and only lingered on the ones she knew she loved. I have a feeling forty dresses isn’t that unusual, but I would have been exhausted if I’d had to get zipped up that many times,’ Ree wrote.
The lifestyle guru added that her daughter ended up ‘finding the dress of her dreams’ but that she would wait to reveal the gown after the wedding in May.
‘It was such a fun fashion show and I would love to dig into all the options and details and share what I learned,’ she wrote.
She added, ‘Maybe David’s mom and I will take you all shopping with us as we shop for our mother-of-the-bride/groom dresses.’
Ree previously shared she kept the engagement a secret ‘for about six weeks’ before David asked Paige to marry him.
‘I am so relieved I can finally share this news because the stress was getting to me,’ she shared in a post in August.
At the time she also posted a number of photos from the proposal on her social media. ‘Happiness is seeing your daughter happy! ❤️ Congratulations, David and Paige! (This is gonna be fun!),’ she wrote in the caption.
Meanwhile Paige’s sister Alex took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of the newly betrothed couple, writing, ‘ENGAGED.’
In the photo, Paige held up her left hand to show off the shiny sparkler now adorning her ring finger as her now-fiancé wrapped his arms around her.
Ree and her husband, Ladd Drummond — to whom she’s been married since 1996 — are parents to two daughters and three sons
Aside from Paige and daughter Alex, they also share sons Bryce, 21, and Todd, 20,
They are also parents of 21-year-old foster son Jamar, who joined their family in 2018 and currently plays football at the University of Central Oklahoma
