PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A firetruck and emergency vehicle dealership and service provider for emergency services is expanding and creating more jobs after receiving grant money from the North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority.

The Atlantic Emergency Solutions provides metal fabrication, paint, graphics, maintenance, and warranty work on fire trucks and emergency vehicles, according to Greenville ENC Alliance.

They received a $100,000 Building Reuse Grant in the existing business building category from the North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA).

Officials say it will support the company’s 12,000-square-foot expansion in Falkland and create 10 new jobs along with $1,450,000 in new investments.

Officials say the current facility provides body, paint, and collision work, and the new facility will provide maintenance and service work for emergency vehicles.

The North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority approved 31 grants, providing over 10 million in total funds.

The Building Reuse Grant provides funds for local governments to renovate vacant buildings.
