3. Mother’s Day Brunch at Brevard Zoo
Bring mom to a wildly unique brunch at the Nyami Nyami River Lodge at Brevard Zoo, 8225 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne, on Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There will be animal meet-and-greets, a Mother’s Day-themed scavenger hunt and a brunch buffet. One drink ticket for a beer, wine or mimosa will be included for each adult guest, with the opportunity to purchase additional drinks. Vegan options are available. 5. Victorian Silver Tea in Cocoa Village
The Community Woman’s Club hosts a Victorian Silver Tea at Magnolia Hall, 5 Rosa Jones Drive, Cocoa Village, on Saturday, May 11, from 1 to 3 p.m. Sweets and savories will be served to honor Mother’s Day. 6. Tour the historic home at Green Gables
Green Gables, 1501 S. Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne, will host an open house every Saturday in May, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The historic home is a living history museum showcasing life in the early years of Melbourne. Visitors will learn about the history of the Wells family, who played a key role in the development of the community. The cost is $10, or free for children 12 and younger. Visit greengables.org.
7. Fly-in/Drive-in breakfast at Warbird Air Museum
Valiant Air Command’s Warbird Air Museum continues its monthly Fly-In/Drive-In Breakfast on the second Saturday of every month from 8 to 10 a.m. Tickets are $14, which includes a chef-prepared breakfast and admission to the museum for the rest of the day.
