1. BSO ‘Summer Travels with Confetti’ concert in Suntree
The Brevard Symphony Orchestra’s series of summer evening concerts at Suntree United Methodist Church, 7400 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne, continues at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 20, with “Summer Travels with Confetti.” The unique trio of “Confetti” featuring guest vocalist Eliza Dopira will take you on a journey with stops in a German abbey during the High Middle Ages, a champagne salon during La Belle Époque in Paris, and the wilds of modern-day Alaska. 2. Space Coast Symphony ‘Orchestral Fireworks’ in Melbourne
Space Coast Symphony lights up the summer night with “Orchestral Fireworks,” a concert at the Scott Center for the Performing Arts, 5625 Holy Trinity Drive, Melbourne, on Saturday, July 20 at 7 p.m. The program will feature Tchaikovsky’s “Romeo and Juliet Fantasy,” Daniel Perttu’s “Valor” and Sergei Prokofiev’s “Fifth Symphony.” Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door, or free for ages 18 and younger or with a college ID. 3. Iration ‘Day Trippin in Paradise’ concert in Cocoa Village
Alternative reggae band Iration will give a concert in Cocoa Riverfront Park, 401 Riveredge Blvd., Cocoa Village, on Friday, July 19 from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. The band’s deep-rooted island influence and Hawaii upbringing is fused with elements of rock, pop and soul to create smooth, uplifting original sounds. 4. Moon Fest at Kennedy Space Center
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Space Commerce Way, Merritt Island, celebrates the history of the Apollo program and NASA’s next giant leap, the Artemis missions, with Moon Fest weekend. The event will take place Friday through Sunday, July 19 through 21 and includes family-friendly activities, a silent DJ from 1 to 4 p.m. each day, interactions with a competition robot and mini-robots, “Astro and Orbit” comedy performers, photo opportunities inside the Mars Rover Vehicle Navigator and more. 5. Magic and Dog Show in Cocoa Village
Show off your pup’s performance skills at the Magic and Dog Show on Saturday, July 20 at 4 p.m. at Magic Dove Magic Shop, 604 Brevard Ave., Cocoa Village. The friendly competition will give three minutes to each entered dog, and trophies will be awarded to the top three places. Award-winning magician Marvelous Megan and her talented friends will entertain you between dog performances. Tickets are $20 and show registration for your dog is $5. Proceeds will benefit Schnauzer Love Rescue, Inc. All pets must be on a leash, or in appropriate carriers, and have current vaccinations and county tags. Call 321-433-1130.
6. Science Sunday at Brevard Zoo
Beat the heat while learning something neat at Brevard Zoo, 8225 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne. The Science Sunday series will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays, July 21 and 28 and Aug. 4, 11, and 25 in the zoo’s air-conditioned Nyami Nyami River Lodge. There will be hands-on activities and a blend of education and entertainment for all ages. Each Science Sunday will feature a different theme and set of activities, from animal behavior demonstrations to interactive exhibits on conservation and environmental science. Interactive chats will also be held at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Science Sundays are free with zoo admission. Call 321-254-9453 or visit brevardzoo.org.
7. Flick-N-Float movie: ‘Kung Fu Panda 4’
Watch the movie ‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ (PG) from the pool at McLarty Park Aquatic Center, 790 Barton Blvd., Rockledge, on Friday, July 19. Swimming begins at 7 p.m., and the movie starts at 8:30 p.m. The cost to swim is $4, and the movie is free to watch whether you’re in the pool or on the lawn. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. 8. 3rd Sunday Sidewalk Stroll in EGAD
Discover the charm of the Eau Gallie Arts District (EGAD) with a Sunday stroll through the neighborhood on the third Sunday of every month from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thrive Local, 1416 Highland Ave., Melbourne, hosts the event where local artisans will showcase their handcrafted goods, from jewelry to artwork to delicious treats.
