Plymouth-based 13-U travel baseball team still looking to add to roster
The Tigers will arrange private tryouts for players interested in joining their club.
The Plymouth Rawlings Tigers 13-U travel baseball team is looking for one or two more players to fill its roster for the 2024 season.
Although the season begins on April 25 at the Northville Broncos, the Tigers are willing to arrange private tryouts immediately for prospective players.
The Tigers, an upstart program in its first season, will play a 32-game schedule in the Kensington Valley League, which includes competing in five local tournaments. Games will mostly be played on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The season ends with a four-day tournament June 27-30 at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.
“We are looking for coachable kids wanting to take the next step in baseball,” coach Jay Buelow said in a press release. “Player and parent commitment is important. We are emphasizing player development, team play, having fun, positive growth and preparing the kids for freshman-level baseball.”
Buelow is a former NAIA college baseball player and high school coach who is volunteering his time to coach the Tigers.
If interested in joining the team, contact coach Jay Buelow at (734) 883-1778 or visit rawlingstigers.com to arrange a tryout and evaluation.
