Police: 2 arrested, 1 wanted after looting flood-affected business in Asheville
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Asheville Police Department said two people were arrested and one is still on the run after looting a flood-affected business in east Asheville late Sunday night.
According to police, officers were called to an Azalea Road business at around 10:20 p.m. on December 15 to investigate a break-in.
Once on scene, officers arrested 31-year-old Samantha Diane Dockery and 45-year-old Aaron Scott Cavener.
During the investigation, officers identified a third suspect, 38-year-old Nicholas Walker Jones, who is still on the run.
Jones is 6 foot, 2 inches tall, weighs 215 pounds, bald with blue eyes. Officers said he also has tattoos that include a cross on his right arm, a lion on his left shoulder and a lion on his chest. His last known address is Black Mountain, according to police.
All three suspects are charged with felony with breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and trespass/enter premises during emergency.
Dockery and Cavener were booked into he Buncombe County Detention Facility under $5,000 secured bonds issued by a magistrate.
