Police investigating attempted purse snatching in Hammond Aire Shopping Center

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Robbery detectives with the Baton Rouge Police Department are investigating an attempted purse snatching in Hammond Aire Shopping Center on Airline Highway.

According to police, the incident happened on Wednesday, May 1 when an unidentified individual tried to steal the victim’s purse in the shopping center’s parking lot.

Authorities released photos of the vehicle involved in the incident. Detectives believe the driver was a black female.
