Police search for gunman who killed 1 man, injured another outside Miramar business

A 58-year-old Davie man has died after a shooting outside of a Miramar business Tuesday morning that also left a second person injured. The shooter remains at large.

Miramar Police were called to a business complex in the 10700 block of Enterprise Way about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, said Det. Yessenia Diaz, a spokesperson for the department. The two people injured were both employees of one of the businesses in the complex, Diaz said.

Police on Thursday identified the man who died as Devon Blake. It was not immediately clear when Blake died at a hospital.

The department has not released the identity or gender of the second person who was injured, though Diaz said the person was in stable condition after the shooting. It was not immediately clear if the person remained in the hospital Thursday.

Diaz said police do not know how the shooter fled the scene or what direction he went. He was about 6-feet tall and wearing an orange shirt, dark pants, sneakers, a mask completely covering his face and sunglasses.
