Police to travel throughout Columbus for National Night Out event

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – The Columbus Police Department will connect with their community for National Night Out 2024.

On Aug. 6, law enforcement officials will travel in convoy across the town to participate in numerous events around Columbus.

According to CPD, there will be multiple opportunities and activities for families and residents to interact with officers along the route.

They will line up at the Columbus Civic Center at 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Officials said there will be multiple routes. Here are a few of the stops:

  • 6:15 p.m. – The Mill District 3718 on 2nd Ave.
  • 6:15 p.m. – Housing Authority 100 Canty Place On 5th Ave Between Broadway & Front Ave
  • 6:15 p.m. – Shirley B Winston Recreation Center 5025 Steam Mill Road
  • 6:40 p.m. – C.A.D. 2824  8th Street
  • 6:45 p.m. –  Frank Chester Recreation Center 1411 Benning Drive
  • 7:25 p.m. – Historic District NHW On 5th Ave Between Broadway & Front Ave.
  • 7:45 p.m. – Old Town 8203 Lallabrook Drive
