Pool Protection in Athens wins grand prize at start-up business competition
Pool Protection Technologies recently received the Audience Choice Award and the Grand Prize award recently in Columbus at the BizPitch competition.
The business was founded in Athens by Garrett Stigall and Guy Gober, both engineering graduates of the University of Georgia.
The award followed the 2024 Entrepreneur of the Year Award presented to Stigall by the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business earlier this year.
“With this support we’re expanding our production and creating sustainable, high-tech solutions for pool owners across Georgia,” Stigall said in a release announcing the BizPitch award.
BizPitch Columbus is an competition event for new start up businesses in the state and was held in November on the Columbus State University campus.
Pool Protection produces a product used in algae control to make a cleaner swimming environment for pool owners.
